Vinh Hy is a near-enclosed bay in Vinh Hai commune, about 42 km north of Phan Rang and 43 km south of Cam Ranh, ringed by mountains on three sides with Nui Chua peak (1,040 m) rising to the west. The Lo O stream runs into it year round and the sheltered water has long been used as a storm refuge for boats. On 7 January 2020 the bay was recognised as a national historic landmark and scenic site by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
